Passionate about designing powerful educational programs for children, Vaibhavi is excited about Camp Imagineerz. While she enjoyed her 10 years with Saba Software leading their corporate education strategy, Vaibhavi has the most fun making Camp Imagineerz a magical place for children. Previously, she has experience as a research assistant with the Stanford Center for Innovations in Learning. She also conceived of and is currently leading an innovative after-school program PACT PALS (www.pactpals.org) for Stevenson PACT school in Mountain View. As a mother of 2, she thrives on studying how children grow and learn.
She has a Masters in Education from Stanford and degrees in Computer Engineering and Business Administration from Mumbai University.
Is he real? Is he a figment of your imagination? Who knows. He is rumored to live somewhere on the edge of dimensions near the the top of the world where the sky whales fly. His hobbies include flying, developing his superpowers, and studying magic. He has a tendency to appear where there is fun and sometimes plays with Imagineerz.
Since the age of five, Erica has been fascinated by the reasons why some people give up and others thrive after adversity. An enthusiastic student of human nature and resiliency, Erica has spent decades researching the answers in biographies and she’s put into practice what she’s learned with an “I-CAN” attitude in her personal and professional life. Being a member of the Design Team and Operations Manager for Camp Imagineerz is like being a Hogwarts student working at Honeydukes Sweet Shop.
Erica earned a Bachelor’s in English and a Secondary Education Credential from Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles.

Whether working with children as a teacher or with teachers as a coach, Megan is fascinated by what motivates people to not just complete a task, but to be fully engaged and passionate about their work. Megan worked as an elementary music teacher in Arkansas, and as both a teacher and teaching coach in China for three years. She is excited to share her love for performing arts, teaching, and creating with Camp Imagineerz!
Megan has a BA in Theatre Arts and a BBA in Marketing from the College of William and Mary. She is currently working on an MA in Education (Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies) at Stanford University.
Sapna believes in the lasting power of childhood experiences and memories. And in the power to positively influence those memories. Sapna’s career in market research helped tell stories with data and she is excited about extending that skill to storytelling for kids at the Imagineerz camp. She freelances for gaming companies and hopes to introduce the art of responsible gaming to her three kids. She lives in San Francisco and loves it.
Sapna’s background in education is a mixed bag of degrees in Physics, Linguistics and Management.
This passionate science educator is a physics professor at City College of San Francisco. She has over 12 years of teaching experience and believes in making learning a fun journey. She brings her learning-through-fun philosophy to Camp Imagineerz and is excited to help kids explore the world around them. Shruti is a mom of two and loves interacting with kids and engaging them in creative activities. In her spare time, she dabbles in organizing fun-filled themed parties for kids.
Shruti has a Master’s degree in Electronic Communications from University of Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Physics from San Francisco State University.
Amit is very passionate about teaching math, music, computer science and robotics to kids and when he’s not doing that, he’s doing his favorite things: traveling the world, telling stories, meeting new people and learning new things! Amit has worked for the past few years as a camp director and curriculum writer at Camp Edmo, and a lead science instructor at Camp Galileo. Currently, Amit works as an Instructional Designer at Google, where he creates online classes, does research on how people learn, and designs learning technologies for kids and adults. He’s very excited to be on the ideation team for Camp Imagineerz!
Amit has a Masters from the Learning, Design, and Technology program at Stanford University, and a B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley

Janice Toben works with public and private schools across the country to promote positive school climate. She directed The Nueva School’s Social and Emotional Learning Program for twenty-seven years. On the strength of the SEL program, Nueva was recognized by the Templeton Foundation as a National School of Character and has become a Blue Ribbon School three times.
Janice facilitates professional development seminars, parent education programs and teaching institutes such as InstituteforSEL.org. She conducted educational seminars at Wheelock and Columbia Teacher’s College; designed over twenty programs with the Center for Advancement and Renewal of Educators, providing an innovative program for emotional and intellectual renewal for educators in the San Francisco School District; and presents at conferences such as NAIS and CAG. Janice appears in the video Emotional Intelligence: A New Vision for Educators (based on Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence [Bantam, 1995]) and is the author of many lessons for the early and mid-elementary grades. Janice has two grown sons.
Ben Grossman-Kahn, M.Ed is the former Education and Innovation manager at Children’s Creativity Museum and is currently an Innovation Coach and Design researcher with the Nordstrom Innovation Lab. Ben spent several years as a Project lead with the d.School K-12 Lab, bringing design thinking activities and curriculum to partner organizations including Girl Scouts, Maker Faire and the Palo Alto School district. Ben has also taught design thinking around the world, working with organizations in Taiwan including Quanta, LCY and National Taiwan University.
When not designing and brainstorming, Ben can frequently be found backpacking around the world, searching for the best dumplings in China and the coziest hostels in Eastern Europe. In a previous life, Ben was a Principal and Director of Jefunira camp and founder of Happy Campers Parties, which offered custom birthday parties and treasure hunts for children.
Ben has a B.A in Asia Studies from Pomona College and an M.Ed in Learning, Design, Technology from Stanford University.
