An fun elementary school program

STEM meets Mindset

Our Goal

is to help all children develop a Growth Mindset through design/maker challenges in elementary school

Our Methodology

1) We provide children with a Makerspace and STEM challenges

2) We teach children the Stanford Design Thinking process to develop creative solutions

3) We help children use Growth Mindset tools to persevere through obstacles.

Program at a Glance

  • Build an Amusement Park (Simple Machines)
  • Get an Astronaut to Mars (Space)
  • Create a Superhero Metropolis (Architecture)

Length: Each module consists of 10 sessions of 1 hr 15 minutes each

In each of these modules, we will explore a different set of engineering concepts through Makerspace Challenges. Children will be given a mini design/engineering challenge and a variety of recycled materials to work with. They will follow the Stanford Design Thinking process – understand, ideate, prototype, and test – to tackle the challenge and and build a creative solution.

Working in a fun space full of possibilities, children will be encouraged to embrace failure as a step towards success, and overcome the roadblocks in their way with creativity, confidence and perseverance! Or as we say at Imagineerz: i-imagine, i-can, i-do!!
